He texted me back that if I didn't work tonight, I was fired. I messaged back that I had today off, and would see him at 3 tomorrow for work. I messaged the manager, and he said I didn't get the Christmas bonus, "because there is no Christmas for you, you will get plenty of $$ by working those two days, an opportunity the other staff doesn't get." Then he reminded me I needed to be logged in and ready to go at 3 pm. I DID find out that everyone but me got 50.00 Christmas bonuses on last Friday's check. I called other staff to see who called off, but no one did, as far as I could find out. Manager was happy to agree.Īround noon, I got a text from my manager telling me I have to work today from 3 to close, which would ruin my plans for my Solstice celebration. I offered to work Christmas and Christmas eve if I could have all day today off (winter solstice). I am/was waitstaff at a small homestyle restaurant, not part of a chain. This was also many years ago, and the cops haven’t come to arrest me yet. Ever hear of freezing rain? It does the same thing I did to his car. No damage was done except for wasting like 5-10 minutes of his time. I’d say I was being pretty damn pettyĮdit 2: sorry, I find it so funny people telling me I committed vandalism. The point of this sub is to tell stories of petty revenge. I’m not looking for judgement because I already know I’m an asshole. His wiper blades were frozen to the windshield, so they are probably ruined.Įdit: you guys need to chill. The next morning, I got to watch as he helplessly tried to scrape all of these layers of ice off his windshield. Being how cold it was, it was already freezing by the time I poured the last gallon on. I must have poured about ten gallons of water on his car. Went back out and poured them on his windshield. I went inside and filled two gallon jugs of water. So when I saw his car in the spot I had just shoveled, I was pretty pissed. Our apartment complex doesn’t have assigned parking, but in the winter, it’s understood that if you shovel a spot, it’s yours. We were gone for an hour, and when we came back, our neighbor had taken the spot I had shoveled. I spent 45 minutes in the freezing cold shoveling that car out so we could get to the store. My car was down at the time, so we had to take my wife’s car. My wife on the other hand drives a Prius, which slides with the smallest amount of moisture on the road. I drive an all wheel drive SUV so I have no issues getting out.

8 inches of snow had fallen the night before, and the windchill made it feel as if it were in the negatives (Fahrenheit).
